Sign Language is a visual means of communicating using gestures, facial expression, and body language. Sign Language is used mainly by people who are Deaf or have hearing impairments.
f Fingerspelling
Fingerspelling is a method of spelling words using hand movements. The fingerspelling alphabet is used in sign language to spell out names of people and places for which there is not a sign.

Great
I had learnt a little BSL when I was younger and after doing this course I know so much more. It is very easily set out which makes the course both easy to understand and fun. There are 1 or 2 assessments in each lesson than a final assessment at the end. If all assessments are completed at 80% and above you can download the certificate but don't worry if you get less than 80% as you can retake them although they will be different questions and in a different order.

- I really enjoyed the course. As a complete beginner i was a bit worried i wouldnt be able to pick it up but after a couple of lessons i really began to get into the swing of things. Enlightening
Really impressed with the course. The format made it easy to learn - and fit in around other responsibilities. I like that you are able to access all parts of the course at any time. It has made BSL seem much less daunting. I particularly liked that you can go from feeling you only know certain bits of standalone vocab to building sentences/phrases.
