Excellent Introductory Course
I really enjoyed this great introduction to BSL. The structure of the course is great and the topics are conveniently located online and easy to follow. It took me a few weeks to complete the course at a leisurely pace and I really feel as though I have developed a good initial foundation that I can build on. Thanks!

Course Outline
This course contains 10 lessons and covers: Fingerspelling, Numbers, Colours, Deaf Awareness, Introductions, Family, Relationships, Descriptions, Hobbies, Time, Money, Days, Months, & Seasons, Food & Drink, Emotions, Relationships, Animals, Clothing, and Conversation. Also specialist vocabulary for education, medical, retail, transportation and home settings.
Assessments
Each lesson ends with an assessment that involves watching short BSL videos and answering questions.
Using these interactive assessments you can keep track of your progress and look again at areas that you may need to do more work on.
Certificate
Once you have scored 85% on the assessments for each lesson, and the final assessment, you are awarded a certificate to show that you have completed the course.
Our certificate is accredited by CPD.Assessments can be retaken as often as you like at no extra cost.

Brilliant course
I really enjoyed this course. It's REALLY good value for money and I'm now working in a school where I can use my skills to communicate with the deaf children. I would totally get the Sign To Me CD-ROM if it was available for Mac as I don't have a PC but I will continue learning BSL and it will be useful when I am a speech and language therapist. Rates
Our course is available on a pay it forward scheme where you decide what you wish to pay. We ask for a minimum of £3 per person.
This one-time enrolment fee gives you free access to all of the online signing course material for 2 years so that you can come back at anytime to refresh your skills.
Groups & Teams
We usually offer discounted rates for bulk bookings (from £14 per person) however this has now been replaced by the "pay what you can" pricing - this means you can decide what you feel you would like to pay for your team or group to learn BSL (minimum contribution of £3 per person).
Whether you are making an individual booking, or a bulk booking, you will have access to an enrollment dashboard where you can track the progress of your learners as they work through the course.

Great Course for Beginners
Having no knowledge of BSL I found this online course useful to learn some basic words and to use understand how it all works and to help communicate with hard of hearing people. I work on reception at an audiology department and will find it useful to communicate with patients with the basic sign language I have learnt.
I am now considering to try and expand my knowledge and enrol BSL Level 1.

This course is fantastic so worth it. It is informative, easy to follow and features like the mirror and even small details like the instructor wearing a wristband on the primary hand really helps you feel confident that you are really learning and understanding what they mean. I had been looking into learning BSL for a little while but once i found this course it was a no brainer with the donation option which means you pay what you can makes it so accessible. So if you see this and you are on the fence, DO IT, learn BSL you won’t regret it.
