PTFA

When your child attends St Mary & St Michael, they become part of our school community.  As parents/guardians you are also part of this community and you automatically become a member of our Parents Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA).

A major function of the  PTFA is, of course, to raise funds for a variety of causes whilst having some fun along the way! We aim to provide or improve school facilities and activities.  In recent years, for example, an exciting and very popular adventure-climbing-frame has been provided for the Infants playground.

We also organise events that are purely about fun and enjoyment for our children. Easter Egg Hunts and Christmas parties are good examples!

We also see ourselves as a bridge between parents, the headteacher and teaching staff. It is vital that there are strong communications to ensure that we can work together to make school a positive experience for our children.

For some events, like the Christmas Bazaar, or Summer Party we will be asking for your active support - from providing cakes to manning a stall.  Any help is always very welcome; as much or as little as you are able to give.

We welcome your views on how we can do things better as well as any ideas for new things or events to plan.  Please talk to us and get involved.  Everything we achieve is for the benefit of our children!
